"Don't worry about that now, Doolittle. We're going to get you up in that motel, where we can fight them off. You'll be snug as a bug in no time" Hodges said in an attempt to calm Doolittle down. He bends over and inspects Doolittles injuries but is unable to concentrate with all that is going on around him and all that has happened. He gives her a wink and a smile and says, "Mearly a flesh wound" in a poorly done British accent.
Unable to ascertain anything about Doolittles injuries, he scans the tall grass for signs of the approaching infected and catches a glimps as a gentle breeze momentarily parts the grass. "Inbound spotted" he announces along with their range.
(OOC: Have any of the airmen pieced together the correlation between the infected, the infection and corpses standing up and attacking? On what bearing are the infected approaching from? Are they coming past the downed helicopter?)

(Frank Hodges, remember that your helmet gives you a -5% penalty to Spot Hidden rolls, so that roll was really a narrow failure. You can't see the zombies well enough to aim at their heads yet, but you can roll Spot Hidden again this coming round. The zombies are fairly spread out, but they are more or less due west of the motel. They have been moving east towards the motel. The helicopter is slightly to the north of their expected path.

Everyone who was in the helicopter, including Keith Deeds and Tsuba, saw the dead rise up and attack. Hendrix was pretty clearly hamburger, so all of them could conclude that he was in fact dead at the time. Also, anyone who has spoken to Phillips and Duran in the parking lot can gather that the dead are rising.

The USAF people in the helicopter had been told before they arrived that the infection is definitely spread by the creatures' bites, and that even their touch could spread it. They had not been told anything about the creatures being dead already, nor had they witnessed anything of the sort until the helicopter crash. While the pilot had been bitten, Hendrix and Janssen had not. Janssen had touched Airman King when she treated him, but Hendrix did not appear to have touched him or the pilot.

Yes, the helicopter does have two door-mounted M-240 machine guns. Or rather, it used to.
