I´d better hurry down before he comes back looking for me...
Kathryn speeds up her steps and makes haste to get down below.

On the third floor-
Kathryn made her way down another flight of stairs to the third floor of the tower. She was now only two flights above ground level.

(Kathryn, roll Listen.)

On the third floor-

Heading down she listensed for new sounds, indicating movement from above or below... Kathryn´s pulse raced again as this day got more surreal by the minute.

On the stairs-
When Kathryn was about halfway to the second floor landing, she heard the rumbling of the elevator moving below and felt its vibration as it passed her on its way up. It stopped above, on the fourth floor, and she heard the doors slide open.

"This way, Erica," said Gardner's voice as it carried down the stairs. "We'll be leaving shortly, but there's enough time for us to get better acquainted first." Two sets of footsteps echoed, and a door opened and closed.

(Kathryn can use the remainder of her movement this round to either go the rest of the way to the second floor or to turn back and go to the third floor. After that you will then have a full round of movement. Also, roll Idea.)

(You accidentally linked to my post above yours instead of the roll, but I was able to find it on Invisible Castle.)

On the stairs-
The woman Gardner was with had to have been Erica Spears, the helicopter pilot Kathryn had spoken to earlier. She felt a twinge of guilt at leaving Erica alone with Gardner when it was obvious what could happen to her, but she knew that confronting him directly would be extremely dangerous and the odds were against her. But how could she save Erica? If only there were some way to get Gardner's attention without going anywhere near him or placing herself in immediate danger.

(corrected)
On the stairs-
Feeling the blouse once again sticking to her chest and back, she had it. A couple of swift steps and she had reached the fire escape. Kathryn weighed the scales; self perseverance against humility. The outcome was that other people depended on her and she would have ached for help should she have remained strapped into that chair in the comm room. She pushed the emergency hatch open.

(Bravo, well done! I knew you'd figure it out! Pulling any fire alarm would have worked too; there are numerous alarm boxes throughout the tower.)

On the second floor-
Kathryn raced around the circular hallway. On the east side, a narrow hall led off from it to the fire exit at the back of the tower. She heard a rifle shot ring out as she ran, coming from the roof. After a pause, there was another. She reached the door and pushed it open, and instantly the fire alarm began to ring. It was loud and annoying, but music to her ears.

The fire door opened freely from the inside, but was locked from the outside. It was the sort that would close and lock automatically once released. Through the open door, Kathryn could see the lowest level of the fire escape platform. Ladders went up to the other floors and ultimately the roof. There was also a ladder that was currently raised. If lowered, it would descend all the way to the ground. The row of warehouses stood fifty yards to the east of the tower. Harry Flynn stood outside the southernmost building, Warehouse 1. He was facing west.

(Kathryn, roll Spot Hidden.)

(The base skill for Spot Hidden is 25%, so that roll is a failure.)

On the second floor-
Kathryn could make out no further details, though she already knew her way around the airfield quite well.

Without the airfield software, Kattie was as blind as a bat. The unfamiliarity with being in real life mode made her feel unease. Here there were no indicators and no speaker announcing incoming action. Letting go of the hatch she made it back to the stairs. If her emergency drill training didn´t fail her, the elevator would be useless due to the 'fire'. She descended to the next floor.

On the second floor-
Kathryn let the fire door close and lock as she ran back to the stairwell, retracing her steps.

(Kathryn, make a Listen roll, at half skill since it's hard to hear anything over the alarm.)

(Sorry, but that roll is just barely a failure. Half of 65% is 32.5%, and since you need to roll less than or equal to that you would have needed a 32 or less.)

On the second floor-
Kathryn thought she heard something over the alarm as she entered the stairwell, but her ears were ringing so loudly she couldn't be sure of anything.

At least Kathryn made sure to look where she was heading to avoid missing any movement below. The laptop under one elbow and the fire extinguisher in the other hand. Should it come to a tussle, she´d say she was to put out the fire!

On the second floor-
The rifle fire continued from above as Kathryn ran.
