Dear Mr. Valentine Pilman,
I am writing to you today to express interest in seeing the foothills of "that famous mountain". My family and I have found the whole enterprise quite fascinating and we should like to be able to see that mountain, now that it is no longer illegal to do so, with the sterling guide who shall be leading the soon-to-be famous expedition.
Is it foreseeable that you could take a little time out of your busy schedule to guide us for one or two days?
I am not a wealthy man, by any means, but I could pay you 5,000 rubles for your trouble.
