Sarah has a lighter, but nothing else. That's strange. Surely she should have had something more...

Sarah takes out the lighter and flicks it on to get a look around.

She is at the entrance of some great and yawning cavern judging by the poorly hewn stone walls and the damp earth-strewn rock under her hands and feet. The open lift she had rode down on had come down so far that she can't see where it had come from. Its a good thing she hadn't tried to roll off of it or she could have been badly injured. There's a couple of grooved tracks that lead up into the darkness and the platform itself is flanked by two levers. There's no sign of her assailant, but the flickering glow of her lighter can't show more than several feet at a time - even with her night adjusted eyes.
She hears a door break somewhere above her.
The lighter grows warm against her fingertips. Soon it'll be too hot to hold.

Sarah flicks off the lighter so it doesn't burn her.
"Agnes?!" she calls up the shaft at the top of her lungs.
"I'm down here! He sent me down on some sort of lift platform! He's still up there!" She stays on the platform and tries pulling one of the levers.

The lever doesn't seem to jerk back as it should. Is it stuck?

Maybe that's the one that lowers it, thinks
Sarah. She tries the other lever.

The platform begins to creak its way back up the wall.

"I'm coming back up!" calls
Sarah. She is careful to remain on the platform, making certain that she does not fall off, and she flicks the lighter on and off periodically so she can see, and so the others up top can see her coming. She is careful not to leave the lighter on long enough for it to get hot.
