Declan continues chasing after the others up the stairs.

"I can't believe i hit them!" Lauren was beaming with pride. She heard the banging of fists and at that started to reload her rifle.

She saw her shot drop the monster her mom had hit earlier. She turned to the other one heading towards the front of the store. Her first shot went wide as well as her third, but her second shot reached the target. The shot barely nicked the monsters head and it seemed relatively unfazed.

Declan being lost for a moment in his thoughts looked up and noticed he was alone. He jumped up and ran after Chuck, Donald, and Emilio.

Seeing the monsters left Lauren unfazed. Lauren gripped the rifle as she took aim on the zombies coming for the front of the store. She aimed for the one that had been hurt already and let loose with a shot. She nailed the monster in the head. "Thats for my father you bastards!" She yelle...

"Dammit all.. How could no one have brought a damned radio." Declan spit then turned his face back towards the machine. "As you said I hope no one is stupid enough to tough the fence. I guess we'll soon find out." His dexterous fingers were finishing up the final repairs.

Griping the rifle, Lauren felt a surge of adrenaline at hearing there may be more monsters coming. The time for being sad was over. The words of all those around her wiped her misgivings and fears away. "I'm okay Kyle. I know you and my mom and even Victor are here to protect me. Heck.. *chuckl...

"Hmm?" Declan looked over "Sounds like a plan. But lets save it till after this bastard thing is working. Lets hope it gets pumping before they come for us like ya said."

"I hope we get this old bucket kickin soon. God knows whats going on upstairs. I'm glad you got that little escape route set up boy. We may end up needing it soon. I can't shake this feeling I'm getting that something bad is going to happen before we know it.

Declan complied passing the pliers over to Donald. Declan couldn't hear anything over the bustling activity going on around him. Declan looked up from the generator for a few passing moments after passing the pliers over. He hated the trapped feeling he was getting form the generator room.

Lauren clutched at Kyles hand and squeezed. She looked out trying as hard as she could to make out what the store owner saw. She couldn't see much of anything however.

Declan looked up from fiddling with the machine and muttered a welcome. "Good to have more hands for this job. We will get the generator running in no time. Let those bastards come for us again."

Lauren cocked her head at Kyle. " Hi Kyle. How are things going down below?" She felt chilly as the sun started disappearing but she felt safer on the rooftop.

Declan was moving his fingers quite quickly despite his old age. "I don't have a radio and they can knock. Hopefully they aren't running from anything when they do however."

Declan look over at the door. "Yeap, locking that door would do some good in case those bastards come at us again before we get this fence back up." He peered over towards the stairs. "Do you hear footsteps? Hmm, maybe we'll be getting a few extra pairs of hands to get this monster go...

Declan jerked his head up from the generator."The hell was that whistling." Declan asked. He started glancing around for something hefty he could swing.

Declan quickly went to work. "This shouldn't be much of a problem. We can fix this in no time hopefully."
As he crouched down to better Declan heard something.
