Actually, it's turned out that a gumshoe would be really, really good for the story!!!

is this going to be set in the era of silent films? if so, my actress is going to be moody and czechoslavakian with a heavy accent - star of german expressionist classic The Twisted Staircase (or something like that). Yeah, it is! That made me laugh--The Twisted Staircase sounds just like the title...
