Thomas came down hard onto the bed of the truck, landing on something hard and injuring himself.

Thomas climbs onto the truck with his shovel, keeping his head low but watching out for anybody getting too close.

Thomas gets out of Howard's way and runs over to the car. "Hurry it up!" he shouts. "The cars won't matter if they catch us here!"

Thomas takes cover behind one of the cars and tries to damage the front tires with the shovel. "Are they coming?" he shouts to the others.

Thomas runs towards one of the cars, and tries to get in.

Thomas, having watched Lawrence hit the snake again, decides to run after William. "Quickly, let's go." he says.

Thomas grabs the shovel tightly and tries to slam the flat edge against the serpent's head.

"There's a shovel here; maybe we can use it to move the snake." Thomas whispers.

Thomas looks around for anything he could throw towards the snake, either as bait to lure it away or as a weapon to try to drive it off.

Thomas looks around to see if there's any nearby hiding spots. "We need to do something, quickly. We'll have worse things to deal with if we don't get out of here soon." he says in a low voice.

"Maybe the front door wasn't such a bad idea after all." Thomas muses. "Perhaps we should just try to make a break for it, and put as much distance between us and this place before they know what's going on."

Thomas heads up the stairs, through the gate and continues upwards.

”I’m going to start looking for our way out.” Thomas says to the others. He turns and walks towards the entrance to the cells, looking to see what lay beyond.

Thomas is relieved to see that the guard has been stopped, and watches as the situation unfolds just out of reach, waiting to spring into action if an opportunity presents itself.

"Don't let him escape!" Thomas shouts. He makes a last attempt to reach out and grab the guard.

Thomas tries to grab the guard on the arm, close to the shoulder, to pull him closer to the bars again. "Come on, give it up!" he shouts. He aims a punch for the head once again.

Thomas tries to hit the guard again, this time aiming for the head.

Thomas tries to hold the guard close to the bars of his cell with one hand, and launches a punch towards the guard's body with his other hand.

Thomas takes advantage of the distraction and grabs the other guard by the arm, pulling at it to try to knock him off balance.
