Re: Chapter 1: Introductions (Isadora Carmichael)
Isadora Carmichael "Yes, very much like fingerprints... " Isadora gradually becomes more immersed in the conversation (although in the beginning it was only her body and voice that was present). She registers the sudden change in Willeford's posture and mimic and now understands, that the...

Re: Chapter 1: Introductions (Isadora Carmichael)
Isadora Carmichael The first half of the evening goes by in a haze, with Isadora walking around the gallery, pale as a ghost. She could not sleep for a couple of days before the exhibition. A persistent image was imprinted in her mind, and she had to "get it out". The result now can be se...

Re: The Haunting - again
This is a great character Evil S, really well-rounded. She has the right touch of mystery. I suspect that she would clash very much in terms of character and outlook with Norman Owens, which should make for interesting playing. I might think though according to the conventions of the age, that she ...

Your signature, from a favourite book? Not exactly a top favorite, but a book I enjoy nonetheless: The Secrets of Dr. Taverner by Dion Fortune. A snippet from the third story, "The Man Who Sought". Classic supernatural detective fiction, written by a practicing occultist. I though it woul...

Okay Tabs - an explorer of the far north, I imagine someone who began their experiences in Northern Scandinavia accompanying their professor on research and who decided that they could find what they wanted in such an environment. Maybe based in Finland but had to leave after the fighting during in...

Re: The Haunting - again
Yes, 1920. I`m thinking that the characters might have their own 'hauntings' - some previous traumatic experience which has left a mark, for example the war, or a personal tragedy. That's good, I was planning the character to be originally from Europe so maybe he or she was traumatized by the war. ...

I assume the story will be set in the 1920s?

"The Stone Tape" can also be added to the list of paranormal / weird TV movies... http://monsterhuntermoviereviews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/The-Stone-Tape-3.jpg If you've never seen it, watch 'Edge of Darkness', about 80's fear of nuclear weapons & technology, with an element of ...

Welcome evil_scientist! I've validated you, so now you can post on the game boards. I like the 1970s too, and I've even lived through most of them. It is an underused era. My game Space Oddity has had parts in a few time periods. Most of it takes place in July 1969, which is almost the 1970s, and t...

Re: The Haunting - again
Hi! I'm new to the site and love The Haunting, so I'm definitely interested in playing. As far as editions go, I don't have any experience with the 6th, but I have played the 5th a lot. CoC editions are quite consistent anyways, so I think I will be able to manage with the aid of the quickstart rules.

What a lovely crypt!
Hi, everybody! I'm a big fan of horror in literature, movies, comics and RPGs, so I was really glad to find this place. I prefer games that emphasize occult / supernatural investigation, encounters with the unknown, set in any time period (I have a soft spot for the 1970s... Strange, games set in th...
