Charlie adjust his clothing as an excuse not to make eye contact with anyone as they leave.

"I had them in my hands when," he groans in realisation, "They're on the train, I dropped them so I could bolt the door."

Charlie looks at each of them incredulously in turn as they speak.

"He's probably dead too," Charlie says callously, "Just like all of you will be if you go back on that train."

Charlie's voice shakes as he says, "It isn't possible, it's just a trick. They're trying to get to us, make us start blaming each other, maybe get someone to go back onto the train. Well it's not going to work on me!"

"Maybe it's just my guilty conscience." Charlie says sarcastically.

"Hm? Oh I think I have a gas mask in my luggage." Charlie says distractedly. "Did anyone else hear that?"

Charlie walks in and sits next to Jonathan,"We'll get through this, don't you worry, just need to stick together."

"Listen, we need to get inside until the siren stops, then we can get our bags and go find the fuzz and they can sort this mess out."

Charlie keeps pace with the others but as they draw closer to the entrance something he sees gives him pause and he whispers "what if it's waiting inside?"

Charlie steps out of the train and softly murmurs "The siren's still going." Pulling his coat closer, he peers into the fog surrounding them, hesitant to move beyond the relative safety of the train's open door.

"You mean 'whoever' right? I mean, it's not like there's some thing wrapped around the train, lurking in the shadows and... puppeting... the staff..." Charlie trails off into nervous silence.

"I absolutely agree, we should go get someone with the training to deal with stuff like this."

Charlie gives a frustrated sigh and follows them.

"I'm sorry but the others are dead and we'll be next if we don't get off this train."

Without waiting to sit down or even worrying about beinh overheard Charlie says "Whatever you do don't eat anything on this train. In fact we should all leave this whole goddamned train asap. The... thing outside, doe you know if it's still there?"

"Perhaps we should head back to the lounge car then to relax for a bit, I'm sure if we stay put our missing friend will find their way to us."
