Re: Character Development
Oh, and if people could post their finished sheets in the Finished Characters thread, preferably in a spoiler if it's not a myth-weavers link.

Re: Character Development
Looks all clear at a glance. I'll finish up the intro post and have everything set by tomorrow, ideally.

Re: Character Development
I mostly need a posted sheet from you and bandages, then we can officially start. I've looked over your sheet in PM, and it looks fine. Enough to play with, for sure.

Re: Character Development
Whenever the rest of the sheets get on, we can start. If you're having trouble, or a lack of motivation, you could also just stick a name and a profession out there, and work on it as we begin with introductory investigating and such. Shouldn't be too many skill checks right away.

Re: Character Development
To keep in line with the other characters, I'll prefer if you drop the extra 18.

You're also free to just swap 5 points over to another occupational skill, for Taters.

Re: Character Development
I'd originally learned CoC through the Quickstart, so my own preferences are colored by that a bit. And yes, I do spy Polar Survival on that one, which may not come in too much handy during an Arkham spring. :P I have no problem with pregenerated characters, especially not hoboes. If you'd like to u...

Re: Character Development
Hello, I have been considering one of two options for my character’s foundation: a) An old military friend who served with Henry during the War, passing through Arkham, hoping to pay a quick visit to an old friend. b) An acquaintance who has only recently been involved with Henry, perhaps a drinkin...

[IC] The Wind in the Cage: Part 1
http://oi62.tinypic.com/34g2b0k.jpg It's Thursday, the 10th of May, 1923. A hazy dawn breaks over Arkham's French Hill, patched clouds allowing only a few sparse, pallid rays of sun across the tallest of Arkham's squat, crowded architecture. From the north end, the Miskatonic River babbles grey and...

Finished Characters
Use this to post finished characters, and make note of permanent game-relevant changes (losing a limb, stat increases, developing a permanent phobia, etc.) after posting.

Rules Refreshers and Post Formatting.
Formatting: Stolen directly from Priest , who likely stole indirectly from elsewhere. These are quite simple, and follow those used elsewhere; 1. Post as often as you can (more is better). 2. Please put your characters name at the top of you posts. (Or use a suitable picture) 3. Names should be embo...

Re: Classic Era original scenario. Any interest?
Great, thank you! I'm setting up subforums now.
Priest, Krow, and Bandages, if you have any other questions for character creation or other things, please post them in the relevant threads in The Wind in the Cage.

The Wind in the Cage:
As the unblinking stars watch thoughtlessly from above, investigators follow the trail of a missing man through the wicked alleys of Arkham, uncovering a web of connections closing on a terrible secret. Something strange is on the New England breeze.
Will that do?

Re: Classic Era original scenario. Any interest?
I do prefer the quickstart rules. Having a character start with 90+ in a skill always leads to very swingy moments.

Re: Classic Era original scenario. Any interest?
EDU x 15 is for your 8 occupational skills. Skills you might use in your character's job. INT x 10 is for all other skills. You're spending all these points on increasing skills on a 1:1 basis. As for items, you can just add any logical items that your character might carry. Flashlights, matchbooks,...

Re: Classic Era original scenario. Any interest?
Choose 8 occupation skills that your character's occupation might use in their day-to-day lives in their job. Multiply your EDU by 15 to get your skill points. Spend these in the 8 occupational skills, with a maximum of 75 in any one skill. Then take your INT and multiply it by 10 for your hobby ski...
