Re: The Louisiana Lady's maiden voyage

http://i.imgur.com/YtresLw.jpg Melissa arrives at the pier in a long form-fitting indigo dress wearing a wide-brimmed hat and a small bright yellow neck scarf. She approaches the gangplank with her valet, George , in tow lugging a rather large luggage trunk. As her valet passes the trunk to the cre...

Re: IC-Ep 1: Down on Durward Street

"Hmm? Right you are down the stairs, if she isn't in the parlor, she will be in her room right next door." The Professor responds. As Sylvia and Dr. Hobb s examine the man, the doctor adds to Rupert's chore, "Get some warm water and rags while you're down there." There appears t...

Re: OOC chat

I'm just very passing familiar with that scenario (I was actually considering using it as the intro to the Classic Era for the HoTOE game), I haven't read it in it's entirety, only skimmed it a few months ago that's not a problem is it?

Re: IC-Ep 1: Down on Durward Street

Professor Smith clears his throat, " From what we can gather about four days ago a rather well dressed fellow around forty, with silver hair, a top hat, and a swallow-tail coat offered Mrs. Grim, that's the landlady downstairs, a handsome amount of money for this room. Soon after, some men in ...

I'm ready, unless you actually need an itemized inventory from me. I'm thinking "Fat stacks of cash" will do for now.

Re: IC-Ep 1: Ain't No Rest For The Wicked (Elizabeth Walker)

Outside of Elizabeth's room she hears what appears to be a large group of people come up the stairs and enter the room next door. OOC,The group has just entered the next door room. Listen rolls are for them to hear your racket. If you want to do anything particularly drastic to be heard you can, but...

Re: IC-Ep 1: Down on Durward Street

The group looks on as Clarence barrels down the road to where the fez-topped man was, after a few moments he walks back disappointed. "No sign of anyone there" he says. Unnerved, Professor Smith agrees with the group consensus, "Yes, let's get inside, this isn't something we should di...

Re: OOC chat

I'm gonna try to find a pic and map out some stuff Melissa might have. Is there any simple self-defense item that an upperclass lady might have at the time, even untrained? I couldn't picture her getting into some form of self defense training but i also don't see her as recklessly unaware of people...

OOC,I deleted your post in the other thread, but you'll be in shortly. I'll tell you when to move to that thread. I need to do one more update for them and I'll mention your racket, I'm sure someone will check since they are going to the next room.

Re: Investigator Creation

How I handled the Mythos Package for HoTOE was to have the player write out their Mythos Experience and then gauge Mythos skill and spells from there. Technically one of the players has a spell or two, but I haven't told him what it is - since he's MIA it might not even matter.

Re: IC-Ep 1: Down on Durward Street

David,Down at the end of the street where everyone seems to have turned their attention you catch sight of something. An elongated form, unnatural claws, and the yellow eyes of a hunter. You see it plain as day, but when you blink - it is gone.

Re: The Salon Car - OOC Chat Thread

I TA for some course called Food in Language - I don't really know anything about it, but it's extra money in my pocket which is always a good thing. I've just started my MA in Linguistics, I know a couple people on these boards have quite a bit of higher education.

Re: The Salon Car - OOC Chat Thread

Thanks for being patient folks. Typically, I'd like to make sure that everyone gets a post in before I move on, but if logically I need to post before it is possible, I'll try to get it in. Just to clarify my schedule a bit since it seems to be coming into better focus now, Monday and Thursday I TA ...

Re: IC-Ep 1: Down on Durward Street

As the group beings to assemble in front of 5 Durward Street, Professor Smith looks visibly relieved. "Thank the heavens you've come. Something terrible has happened." He looks over Sylvia , " Dr. Warner couldn't come? ...No matter, another set of medical eyes will help." The pro...
