Re: Roll call! Who are the ten die-hards at Play@?
We don't have to keep the .org.uk tld
playcthulhu is a pretty good name and playatyogsothoth (keeps in with the current branding). We could go with something more generic.
How about horrorbypost ?

Re: Roll call! Who are the ten die-hards at Play@?
How much does it cost? Hi, So, hosting the site and database, etc. is $180 per 12 months (actually it's $165 but I didn't see any renewal notices so there was a $15 late fee) - this is a 'grandfathered in' fee for shared hosting on Host Dime. I don't believe this rate/service level is available any...

Re: Roll call! Who are the ten die-hards at Play@?
I’d be happy to contribute to costs but I’m not sure I’d have the time/skills to manage the board. What’s involved in managing it, Lee? To be honest, I don't do anything (any more) - Mr Handy has done ALL the administrator/moderator work for YEARS and I take my hat off to him. This site does deserv...

Re: Roll call! Who are the ten die-hards at Play@?
I don't have time to participate any more.
I want to pass everything on to someone.
Just had to pay $180 to keep this going.

Re: The First Test!
I notices that things weren't always redirecting to https - so I have updated the htaccess to force https and also to force the 'www' part of the url. The dice not being visible if your not logged in is probably a permissions issue. Tabs and logging in maybe has something to do with the use of https...

Re: The First Test!
I think that the permissions we set to deal with accounts validated, etc. have been reset - I'll look into this. In the mean time - I've added modules to link registration to the 'stop forum span service', actioned captcha and also added the 'justification' field - anyone registering has to justify ...

Re: The First Test!
Seems the issue was caused by the port being added in the url. Not sure how I managed to screw that up.

BB Codes
I'm going to be messing about with BB Codes - trying to get the functionality that we previously had and this is where I'll be doing it, so excuse the mess.

Re: The First Test!
So, DICE ROLLS have to be enabled on a case by case basis in Game Forums. This new roller works differently enough from the old one to make things a little awkward (new procedures) etc. and also introduces permissions to edit/remove rolls - I'll start adding dice rolls to game forums but setting may...

Re: The First Test!
Fantastic!
So, it's not possible to see the extra options (adding images and dice) in the 'quick reply' section - this may have been the issue?

Re: The First Test!
I'm being dense. I found the "dice tester" and I can make that work. However, I cannot find the image provided in the first post in this thread. The one that has "Options/Attachments/Poll creation/Dice Rolls" and everything else shown; the "roll notation" and "rol...

Re: The First Test!
One thing I noticed is that now we're restricted to only available sides (4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, and 100). Is there any way that restriction could be lifted? Sometimes I need to pick random numbers from nonstandard dice. 'Sides' (ie number of sides for the die) has to be added via the ACP - I don't k...

Re: Question on the die roller
We have DICE! I still need to get to grips with the ins and outs of it - for now there's a testing forum: https://www.callofcthulhu.org.uk/pbp/viewforum.php?f=485 Dice rolls are added in asimilar manner to attachments, see: https://www.callofcthulhu.org.uk/pbp/viewtopic.php?f=485&t=7442 A stand ...

Re: [IC - Mexico City] The Ruins of the Villa
Christopher Fontana Christoper curses, it seems that they were expected and it seems that Gonchi had been too convincing in getting the investigators to Brooks' and presumably the cult's lair. Desperately he looked around for something that could be used to stop or slow down the men that were comin...
