Nick takes his rifle off his shoulder, moves over to the wall, and pushes the door open the rest of the way with the rifle barrel so as to keep himself and Oliver out of harm's way in case anything comes flying out of the second room...

"I'll go check out the wheelroom, I suppose," Nick says.

"You'd think any documents would be in the main command room. That should be somewhere fairly close, I'd think," Nick says. "Anybody see any doors leading out of here?"

"This is more than just folks who disappeared," says Nick, furrowing his brow at the broken crates. "Unless the Jerries sabotaged this stuff 'fore they left. That sounds like somethin' they'd do." As they reach the submarine, he peers up at the mostly-intact walkways above, scann...

Nick furrows his brow and hoists his rifle. "This is a little eerie," he whispers. "Maybe they got the orders from Berlin to withdraw, but... why not take any of their equipment with them?" He looks over the parts, shakes his head and moves on.

While all this is going on, Nick paces the cave slowly, looking to see if there's anything out of place that might give a clue as to what happened at the base.

Nick rows onward, turning his head to look ahead at the barren, rocky island waiting for them. He starts to put out a hand to help Oliver and "Stogie" back into the boat, but shakes his head and mutters something under his breath as they start to swim alongside the boat. "Are you sure...

"Same," says Sgt. Laplanche, who has gulped down the rest of his dinner and hurried outside with the others. "Can't think of much of anything else I need, except maybe a little more ammunition if you can scrounge any up."

Likewise, sorry about being absent for a few days, I had to go in to the hospital for emergency surgery the 22nd. I'm back at home now though.

"I suppose we're all you're gettin'," Sgt. Laplanche says as he drinks his coffee. "Hopefully, we won't have any problems gettin' done whatever it is needs done."
